WoodBearKnives was founded in January of 2009.

Hi, my name is Andras and I'm the knifemaker and the owner.

Years and years ago I was out hunting with my friend, when we decided to make a little shelter. He was "drilling" holes, chopping off branches and making some shavings to start the fire. The only thing he used was a scandi grind knife. I was very impressed and that's when I started developing my love for the scandi knives.

I'm trying to design (hopefully with success) and make some good looking and foremost very usable,quality scandis. Since 2010 April I am making the knives for Bushcraft Northwest.
